gay = lame

fag/got = idiot

homo = loser

change your derogatory expressions TODAY. <3 :D

you can proclaim you aren’t homophobic all you want, rant about your “beloved gay friend” and how “the gay couple are my favorite on Modern Family!!…” as long are you are still using these negative (and non-sensual) slurs you are painting homosexuals in a negative light, setting the homosexual rights movement back, ridiculing 10% of the world’s population and undoubtedly - hurting someone out there. 6,000,000 gay people are estimated to kill themselves each year… the cause is not some blurred wonder, it is the way every teenager still speaks with and about their peers every minute of the waking day. Don’t be foolish, if you thought about the reason behind why LGBT people are 5 times as likely to suffer from depression, the answer isn’t just the major shortcomings in homosexual rights - it’s the way that we are talked about on an everyday and conventional basis… “aw fucking scots is so fucking (gay) bro.” “what a (faggot)” “nah the party wasn’t that good, it was pretty (gay)” “aw you homo” “he’s such a (faggot)”… when you use the bracketed terms, you are telling the world that you believe, to be ‘gay’, a homo, a “faggot” - is something to be ashamed of, is a negative thing. For all the young closeted-homosexuals out there, to hear these expressions merely descends their already confused minds into a state of fear, self-hatred and misery… it’s no wonder they’re all taking their lives.. how would you like it if everyone said “I hate you so much you (-insert-your-name-here-)”… who wants to be told they are wrong, a negative existence and inferior to everyone else by their everyday counterparts? It hurts. Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will neve… BULLSHIT. Words hurt in often the harshest ways, we have freedom of speech - we have to power to say whatever the hell we wanna say, and therefore we have the power to stop it. Stop the hurting. It’s so simple for you to change your use of slang, just a few word changes are sure to go a long way… what’s not so simple is for a young queer to find happiness and self-acceptance in what s/he sees as a hateful, condescending and bitter world. Make the change, save a life, aid a movement. A sexuality is not a reason to look down upon someone. If everybody looked the same, we’d get tired of looking at each other - embrace human differentiation and CHANGE. YOUR. EXPRESSIONS. <3

Sometimes I tumblr… and sometimes, I get outside. I’m going outside, it’s so sunny and I want to soak the warm happiness in. If it’s sunny where you are too, go outside. For a walk, to hug a tree, to feel the varying textures and often beautiful appearances that nature is presented to us in this world. Watch a bird and really watch it, take awe in it’s flight. Dive into water, and don’t think about what’s underneath - just dive and embrace the splash you make for every of it’s drops. Smile at a stranger, say hi to a stranger if you’re daring. Get out of breath, run into somewhere you’ve never run before. Smile, breathe in the fresh air and look for the lushest grass you can find… we are one with the universe and all the world is filled with treats. It’s one to thing to post about beautiful things on tumblr, and another to actually experience them. <3
